Consciente des difficultés de cette deuxième partie de saison, l’équipe entraînée par Eddy Raboteur veut tout faire pour garder sa place dans l’élite du football Guadeloupéen. Trois joueurs sont arrivés en provenance de L’AST de Carrefour (Haïti), il s’agit d’un attaquant, et deux milieux offensifs.
Après avoir recruté Mondy PRUNIER, l’un des grands artisans de son retour en R1, Jean-Wilaire EDMOND et Macbernard ÉTIENNE, la REDSTAR a derechef fait signer trois joueurs en provenance d’Haïti. EDOUARD Davens 20 ans, ex joueur de l’AST, FATON Woodensky, 20 ans ancien de l’AST et VILASSAINT Daniel 23 ans ancien de la REDSTAR (2020-2021) sont les trois renforts des redstariens.
Auteure de 6 défaites, 1 nul et 3 victoires en championnat, la REDSTAR présente un bilan négatif et se trouve dans l’obligation de faire mieux pour espérer un maintien dans l’élite du football de la Guadeloupe. Les 3 joueurs qui devaient arriver depuis quelques mois, ont finalement atterri hier et ont pu participer à l’entrainement d’hier soir.
Si VILASSAINT est un habitué de la maison avec deux saisons passées au club, les deux autres doivent vite se mettre dans le bain, car leur premier test sera face un client difficile qui n’est autre que la GAULOISE de Basse-Terre, le 7 janvier 2023.
